Urban’s Hokey-Pokey

Urban Meyer can’t seem to make up his mind.

Less than 24 hours after “stepping down” as the head coach of Florida, Meyer puts the brakes on and reverses to the “indefinite leave” status. This of course after we hear so much about how he was leaving the game for his family – his daughter thought she was “getting her daddy back.”

So what are we left to think with this? Would he have been better off just saying nothing? Or at least wait through the bowl game? And was the course of stepping down then to indefinite leave ONLY done after seeing the initial public & media reaction?

Or are we just asking too many questions? Hell, the guy should be worn out.

But in the competitive terms – does this hurt Florida going into next year and going forward? If Urban is out of the game (or at least kind-of-out…) Does this open things up in the SEC East? Would everyone’s favorite trash-talker Lane Kiffin be closer to SEC competitiveness?
