Acie Law IV Is Coming . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Thursday afternoon the Grizzlies inked Free Agent Point Guard Acie Law IV to a new deal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Much to the pleasure of his biggest (and maybe only) fan Chris Vernon. Remember him? Super quick, crafty, great shooting, lefty who torched the entire NCAA during 3 of his 4 eligible seasons. Since being drafted #11 in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, Law has somewhat been forced to play the background as all 4 teams he has been apart of during his 3 NBA seasons have had other Top Level Point Guards in front of him. Labeling Law hungry might be a understatement, which should cause sure freight for Grizzlies starting Point Guard Mike Conley. Grizzlies General manager Chris Wallace says the former lottery pick “adds a boost to the backcourt with his offensive skills, abilities to drive or set up teammates and with his defensive abilities”. Just what the Grizzlies are lacking. Hopefully the teams coaching staff will decide to open camp allowing the newly acquired Point Guards (Acie Law IV, Tony Allen, or Greivis Vasquez) to have a shot at Mike Conley’s top spot. We will all soon see . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (To Be Continued)
