Shaq Signs With The Celtics

LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade might have been the three big catches of the 2010 Free Agency Season but a couple of teams have quietly been making major moves to make a run at the NBA Championship for the next couple years. The Lakers sign Blake, Ratliff, and Barnes; The Bulls sign Korver, Brewer, and Boozer; While the 2010 Eastern Conference Champions Boston Celtics add some bulk to their already skilled front court (Glen Davis, Kendrick Perkins, and Kevin Garnett) with the signing of  Jermaine O’Neal and an aging Shaquille O’Neal earlier today.

Expecting either O’Neal to come in and be the players they were in their prime would be a mistake, but with the bigs already on the Celtics’ roster both can come in play minimum minutes (sharing amongst the 4 players, once Perkins returns) and have maximum impact.

Whoever thinks this season (regular and playoffs) will be dominated by 1 team should probably think twice . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (More On This Later)
