Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco Gets Early Start On 2010 – 2011 Fines

Just 2 or 3 games into their annual exhibition matchups, the NFL and Cincinnati Bengals star Wide Receiver Chad Ocho Cinco are in mid-season form. Early today the NFL slapped Ocho Cinco with a nice sized fine for two violations which he committed August 20, 2010 during a pre-season matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to the NFL Rulebook, players are not permitted to post messages on social media websites starting 90 minutes before kickoff and until postgame media obligations are fulfilled. This is believed to be a method of curbing information available to those who gamble on league games.

Reportedly, Ocho Cinco tweeted  “Man Im sick of getting hit like that , its the damn preseason [expletive]! 1day I’m gone jump up and start throwing hay makers , #Tylenolplease,”at 9:53 p.m. This tweet was referencing a very hard hit Ocho Cinco took in the game during the 1st Half (Click Here For Link)

The NFL fined Ocho Cinco $25,000.00 for using the Social Media client Twitter and for possessing a electronic device during the game Saturday.

In response to the NFL’s fine Chad replied the following (of course via his Twitter account)

“I’ve been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn’t made me money but cost me money,”

“Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of my Bugatti payments you just took from me, I won’t do it again,”

I’m sure this is just a warm up of what Ocho Cinco and his newly acquired partner in crime Terrell Owens will get fined for this season.

Good thing the league can’t fine players for content on their pages or the player formly known as Chad Johnson would be out alot more then $25,000.00, check it out for yourself (Parental Advisory Suggested)
