Where: Hickory Hill Community Center (3910 Ridgeway Road Memphis, Tennessee)

Date: Saturday September 18, 2010

Time: 1:00 – 4:00PM

The good folks over at Red Bull North America are converging on the city of Memphis once again, this time with the National Double Dutch League to bring us the “Red Bull Ropemasters”. Red Bull Rope Masters is sanctioned by the National Double Dutch League and is evolving the tradition of the sport to something much more advanced – competitive speed style double Dutch.

Red Bull Rope Masters is a national series that will bring the country’s top double Dutch teams together to compete for the chance at national recognition. Memphis is one of the three National Qualifying cities which also includes Tampa and Baltimore. The winning team from each stop will advance to the finals taking place in New York City later this year.

Today eight of the top Double Dutch teams in the U.S will be in the city of Memphis competing for their chance to show off their stuff in New York. Each group may participate as a Single Team (three players) or Double Team (four players) during their rounds. Each battle will last 1:40 and will feature two competing teams. The teams will have 30 seconds to complete each of their freestyles in each round. This form of the game will challenge the teams to complete as many tricks in their freestyle as possible and keep up the pace in their routines. Each team is hand selected and invited by the NDDL to participate in their respective qualifier.

Red Bull events are always fun and enjoyable for everyone in attendance. I encourage you all to come and check it out.
